About Arrow Puzzle Go

Arrow Puzzle Go is a direction puzzle where every colored line leaves only the way its head points. Tap one whose lane is open and it flies off the board. Tap one that is blocked and it bounces back, turns red, and spends a move. Later boards stop being rectangles and turn into pictures — a heart, a tree, a butterfly, a dancer — so the same rule has to be read across a shape.

The lane rule is familiar. What changes is the budget you spend, and the fact that the board is a picture.

• You start with five more moves than there are arrows. The purple counter is that budget, and it turns red when almost nothing is left.
• A blocked tap spends a move and paints the arrow red. Tapping that same red arrow again does not spend another one.
• The first two levels are a tutorial and do not charge moves at all.
• Three helpers sit on the toolbar: a hint that flashes an arrow free to leave, an eraser that removes any line without spending a move, and a grid overlay for dense boards.
• Pinch, drag, or use the zoom slider. Picture boards get too tight to read at full size.
• The sun button switches day and night, and the arrows can swap between color and monochrome.

How To Play Arrow Puzzle Go?

Read the head, trace the lane, then decide whether the tap is worth a move.

• Find an arrowhead and follow its direction all the way to the edge of the shape.
• If another line sits in that lane, leave it. A blocked tap flies into the blocker, bounces back, and costs a move.
• Tap a clear arrow and it leaves. The counter drops by one, and the space it vacated often frees the next line.
• Spend the hint when you cannot see a free arrow. It highlights one that can leave right now.
• Arm the eraser to delete a line that is tying the board in a knot. That removal does not spend a move.
• If the counter hits zero, take the few extra moves on offer or restart and try a different order.

Can You Empty the Picture?

Early boards are loose enough that the free arrows are obvious, and the first two levels let you practise without spending the counter. Then the lines start forming pictures, the extra five moves stop feeling generous, and a red bounce is a move you do not get back.

The eraser and the hint are for the knot you can already name, not for the first arrow that looks confusing. Trace the lane before you spend either one.

Start at the edge of the shape, keep the counter out of the red, and take the picture apart one clear arrow at a time.
